Hanging Baskets

A typical hanging basket
New Alresford Town Council will once again be arranging for Hanging Baskets to be put up throughout the Town Centre during this year. The baskets will be hung in time for The Watercress Festival on 11 May and removed during October. There is a charge of £35.00 for the basket which includes hanging the basket to an existing bracket, regular watering and feeding throughout the season and removal and disposal in October.

In Broad Street "Up-the-pole" planters are installed on lamp posts and we are looking for sponsors for these containers. Each sponsors name will appear on the home page of this web-site together with a link to their own web-site. If the sponsor does not have their own web site we will produce a web-page for them and include it on this site. Sponsors will also receive mention in the Town Council News Letter and other publications produced in the Town.

Everybody agreed that last years display was excellent and it was mainly due to our dedicated team of waterers, Andrew Black, Ian Cornick and Roy Wyeth who braved all weathers, as well as water browser breakdowns, to ensure that the baskets were fed and watered.

We will be distributing flyers and order forms during March which should be completed and returned. If you do not receive a flyer and you would like us to provide a hanging basket for the front of your premises or wish to sponsor an "Up-the- pole" container please e-mail or call 01962 732079
