Early Days

Following closure in 1973 the section of line from Alton to Alresford was acquired by the Mid-Hants Railway and re-opened in 1977 as The Watercress Line Heritage Railway. These picture are from the period in the 1970s before the line was open to the public and restoration work was being done.
